Took a two-month break from heavy lifting, and now I’m easing back in 😄

Why the break?

1. Leading up to August, I was under a lot of stress without realizing it (life happens!). I noticed aches, pains, and that my body wasn’t handling the load well, and my recovery was suffering. It was a sign I needed to step back and let my body recharge.

After my holiday, life kept me busy, so I reduced my sessions and focused on strengthening my weaker areas.

2. I also had a short-term goal for a different competition, so my program needed adjusting.

Now, my body feels refreshed, and those nagging pains are gone, thanks to giving more attention to accessory work and the smaller muscles.

A reminder: Sometimes taking a step back isn’t a setback. It’s setting yourself up to come back even stronger. Trust the process, listen to your body.
