I can’t get away without warming up anymore 🙊

I never let clients skip their warm-ups and when they're a little late (BKK TRAFFIC IS 🫠), and here’s why you shouldn’t too (especially before a heavy lift session)

1. Prepare your joints
2. Prime your nervous system
3. Practicing the movement you’re about to perform

Everyone will have a different warm-up routine, but my favourite steps to follow are:
✅Activate (Core, glutes, back)
✅Mobilize (dynamic/mobility drills)
✅Warm-up (the main lift)

For each warm-up set, you want to make sure you move smoothly before you increase the weight. Use each warm-up set as an opportunity to practice the movement and make it better.

Rather than focusing on elongating the muscles (static stretch), focus on moving each of the joints through their full range of motion needed for that session.

Take your warm-up as seriously as the actual session.
