In this video, I react to a man who was caught on camera repeatedly throwing a dog into the sea. When confronted, he defended his actions by claiming that it is part of Southern Thai culture and that people from Isan (Northeastern Thailand) "do not understand" this tradition. I challenge his justification by questioning whether this is truly a cultural norm or just a personal excuse for cruelty. If millions of Southern Thai people love and care for animals, does that mean they are not truly "Southern" in his eyes? And if understanding his so-called culture means accepting animal abuse, then does rejecting it make someone ignorant?
