First time discovering Grasse with CHANEL. It was a wonderful and fun experience visiting the jasmine field, and getting to see how the jasmines bloom at dawn amazed me! Not only did I get to see the fields, but I also got to meet Olivier Polge, CHANEL’s house perfumer and the creator of CHANEL’s N°5 L’Eau, and he was so kind to answer my curious self’s handful of questions.
Being here in Grasse has shown me the ideal climatic conditions for perfume ingredients, and all I can say is “no wonder why CHANEL’s ingredients are so high-quality and fresh!”
One incredible fact I’d like to share with you is that it takes 5,600,000 flowers for one kilogram of absolute, which are highly concentrated extractions from flowers used to add in fragrance compositions! ✨
Thank you to CHANEL’s team for making this happen 🤍
