2 dives with over 50 bull sharks! Can you believe it? 🤩
The practice of shark feeding, when executed responsibly, can be both safe and environmentally friendly. It fosters a close connection between humans and sharks, raising awareness among divers and potentially aiding in the battle against shark fishing. During feeding sessions, only a small number of fish are provided to the sharks, preventing them from becoming overly full or disrupting their natural habitat. This approach allows the sharks to sample the food without altering their regular feeding habits.
It also help promotes awareness as underwater photographers capture images of the feeding process, showcasing the sharks to those who don't dive. These visuals play a crucial role in educating the public about shark behavior and their habitats, thereby contributing to the conservation of these precious marine animals.
Luckily, I stumbled upon a shark's tooth during my experience. I plan transform it into a necklace and wear it as a promise of my commitment to help preserve these magnificent and valuable creatures 🩵🤞🏽
