Our phones carry so much energy. It’s constantly flowing with conversations, social media posts and emails whether it’s bringing news that is happy, urgent or sad. It constantly brings heavy expectations to me. It makes me feel like I’m not doing enough, I’m not fast enough or I’m letting someone down if I give time to myself. I haven’t stopped traveling and answering to every email and every text in the last 3 months. I just haven’t had a moment to stop. Lately I’ve I had some moments for silence… I could feel my entire nervous system relax when I just take time to eat what I want to eat, sleep as much as I want and read as much as I want without planning my next step or sticking to my routine. I’ve have no need to workout to stay thin (which is something I haven’t taken a break for from years) No emails I had to rush to answer and no conversations to be had. Just a book and some late afternoon sunshine. Calm and quiet energy that I’m so grateful for. Silence and rest is good for your soul.
